If you have been in an auto or indeed any accident involving back, neck or knee injuries you may have been to the hospital and seen a medical Doctor, but you need a Doctor who focuses on the treatment and diagnosis of such injuries. Hospitals will check vital signs, make sure there are no life threatening conditions and release you with pain medication. They normally do not treat the underlying improper musculoskeletal biomechanics that can and do lead to future pain and do not correct structural or soft tissue damage. Doctor Santamaria and her team have therapies designed to help you overcome these pains.
Dr. Santamaria utilizes a comprehensive, neurological approach to treating patients which involves creating an individualized picture of each patient and their particular health concerns. She believes that true health is not merely the absence of symptoms but the optimization of everyday life at work and at play.
Relying heavily on a thorough diagnostic evaluation, Dr. Santamaria combines neurological and orthopedic testing with functional assessments to determine the most appropriate care plan for each unique circumstance.
Dr. Santamaria’s neurologically-based approach to healthcare has helped people with a variety of issues including: neck and back pain, herniated and bulging discs, headaches, and other seemingly disparaging conditions. Utilizing the knowledge from her undergraduate degree, and related coursework, Dr. Santamaria blends her chiropractic treatments with lifestyle changing advice, providing her patients with all the tools they need to get the most out of their treatment.
Dr. Santamaria has taken post-graduate seminars through Cox’s Flexion/Distraction technique including cervical and lumbopelvic assessments to effectively treat herniated/bulging disc, spinal canal stenosis, and degenerative discs, to name a few.
Dr. Santamaria is able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health. Dr. Santamaria looks forward to helping you achieve your own personal health goals.
